Bravissimo was originally located off Howell Branch in Winter Park.We moved here to Thornton Park in September of 1998. Since then our downtown clientele has flourished. Nestled here in Thorton Park, the warm comfortable atmosphere makes the guest feel comfortable in flop flops or tuxedoes. Our service here is never aggressive or pushy, but always ready to offer help if needed.

Our menu consists of simple Italian food done well. We offer daily lunch and dinner specials. Our wine lists boasts of over 90 different wines, many available by the glass.

Bravissimo’s list of awards consists of “Best Kept Secret”, Orlando Sentinel, “Best First Date Place”, Orlando Weekly, “Best Italian” Orlando Weekly, “Best Value”, City Search, ‘Best Italian/Non-chain” Florida Magazine Reader’s Choice Awards and an “Excellent” rating from Zagat.

Chef Frank Murphy rules the kitchen and creates daily specials that range from ‘truly Italian” to “New World Cuisine” with culinary expertise that is second to none. Chef Frank has an extensive background in many styles of cooking and often shows in the specials he creates.

Owner TJ Bennett bought Bravissimo in 2000 and loved the food and atmosphere so much, he decided, “It’s not broke, don’t fix it.” It proved to be the right idea. Our little hidden café has flourished because of many things; approachability, food quality, service, value and ambience are all part of the equation. However, it takes all of them working together to make it complete. This place is unlike any other I’ve ever seen. Even though MANY have tried, it’s never been copied. I don’t think it ever will.
